AI4Students.ca is a Canadian non-profit organization providing AI education and training programs for youth aged 8-17. Our services include online courses, competitions, real-world projects, mentorship programs, and the AI Stars elite team program.

If you are under 18 years of age, your parent or legal guardian must agree to these Terms on your behalf and supervise your use of our services.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Your continued use of our services after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

3. Eligibility and Account Registration

3.1 Age Requirements

  • Our educational programs are designed for students aged 8-17
  • Users under 13 require parental consent before creating an account
  • Users aged 13-17 should have parental knowledge and supervision
  • Parents and educators may create accounts to support student participation

3.2 Account Responsibilities

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • One person may not maintain multiple accounts
  • You may not share your account with others

4. Educational Services and Programs

4.1 Program Participation

Our services include:

  • AI Course Training and certification programs
  • Student-led projects and real-world challenges
  • AI Innovation Competitions and contests
  • Canadian AI Stars Team elite program
  • Mentorship and career guidance
  • Community forums and collaboration tools

4.2 Enrollment and Participation

  • Course enrollment is subject to availability and prerequisites
  • Students must actively participate and meet program requirements
  • We reserve the right to remove students who violate our community guidelines
  • Program schedules and requirements may change with reasonable notice

4.3 Certificates and Recognition

Certificates and awards are granted based on successful completion of program requirements. We reserve the right to verify work and revoke certificates if academic dishonesty is discovered.

5. User Content and Acceptable Use

5.1 User Content

"User Content" includes all projects, assignments, forum posts, messages, and other materials you submit or create through our platform. By submitting User Content, you grant us a license to use, display, and share your content for educational and promotional purposes.

5.2 Content Standards

All User Content must:

  • Be original work or properly attributed to its source
  • Respect intellectual property rights of others
  • Be appropriate for an educational environment
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Not contain harmful, offensive, or discriminatory material

5.3 Prohibited Activities

You may not:

All content provided by AI4Students.ca, including courses, materials, logos, and website content, is protected by intellectual property laws. You may use this content for educational purposes only.

6.2 Student Work

Students retain ownership of their original work and projects. By participating in our programs, students grant AI4Students.ca permission to:

  • Display and share student work for educational and promotional purposes
  • Use student projects in portfolios and case studies
  • Feature student achievements in marketing materials
  • Share work with industry partners for evaluation and opportunities

7. Privacy and Child Safety

7.1 Privacy Protection

We are committed to protecting your privacy, especially for our young users. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

7.2 Child Safety

  • We maintain a safe, supportive learning environment
  • All interactions are monitored and moderated
  • We have zero tolerance for inappropriate behavior
  • Students should report any concerns to parents and program staff
  • Parents have full access to their child's account and activities

8. Industry Partnerships and Real-World Projects

8.1 Partner Projects

We collaborate with companies and organizations to provide real-world project opportunities. Participation in these projects may involve:

  • Presenting work to partner organizations

8.2 Partner Responsibilities

Our partners agree to maintain appropriate professional standards, provide constructive feedback, and respect student privacy and safety. Any concerns about partner interactions should be reported immediately.

9. Payment Terms and Refunds

9.1 Free and Paid Services

Many of our core educational services are provided free of charge. Some premium programs, advanced courses, or special events may require payment.

9.2 Scholarships and Financial Assistance

We are committed to accessibility and offer scholarships and financial assistance to ensure all motivated students can participate regardless of economic circumstances.

9.3 Refund Policy

Refunds for paid programs are available within 14 days of enrollment, subject to program-specific terms. Refunds after program commencement may be granted at our discretion based on individual circumstances.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

10.1 Educational Outcomes

While we strive to provide high-quality education, we cannot guarantee specific learning outcomes, job placement, or career advancement. Success depends on individual effort, engagement, and circumstances.

10.2 Service Availability

We aim to provide continuous service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may temporarily suspend services for maintenance, updates, or technical issues.

10.3 Third-Party Content

Our platform may include links to third-party websites or resources. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of these external sites.

11. Account Termination

11.1 Voluntary Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, you will lose access to our services and your account data.

11.2 Involuntary Termination
